3 Simple Lines That Make ChatGPT Sound More Like You
You do not need a perfect prompt. You need better tone direction.
If ChatGPT keeps sounding like everybody else, there is a good chance you are giving it the task but not the tone.
That is where a lot of people lose time.
They get an answer.
Then they spend the next fifteen minutes trying to pull the stiffness out of it.
That is exactly what I try to avoid.
So here are three simple lines I use when I want AI to sound more natural and more like me.
1. Write this in a more natural human voice.
This is the first clean correction.
It tells AI to pull back from the polished, textbook, overly perfect tone it often defaults to.
2. Keep the wording clear, simple, and conversational.
This is where the writing usually starts sounding more usable.
Not stiff.
Not overdone.
Not trying too hard.
Just clearer.
3. Avoid robotic phrasing, filler, and overly formal wording.
This is the line that helps cut the junk.
Because a lot of AI writing does not fail from lack of intelligence.
It fails from bad habits:
filler
generic transitions
formal phrasing
overexplaining
trying to sound “helpful” instead of actually being useful
Now put those three lines together:
Write this in a more natural human voice. Keep the wording clear, simple, and conversational. Avoid robotic phrasing, filler, and overly formal wording.
That is a strong starting correction.
It will not magically make every answer sound exactly like you.
But it can improve the tone fast.
And if you want to go one step further, add this line too:
Use short paragraphs and keep the rhythm natural.
That helps a lot.
Especially if you want cleaner writing for emails, captions, scripts, and blog content.
This week I am going deeper into how to build a simple voice guide that helps AI follow your style more closely.
But before you get fancy, start here.
Simple direction.
Clear tone.
Better first drafts.
