5 everyday AI prompts (nothing to do with content) 🐾
For overwhelm, doctor appointments, confusing news, family visits, and one more you probably haven't thought of. Save this one.
Yesterday I shared four real moments from my week where AI helped — with nothing to do with content. Today I’m giving you the prompts.
These are fill-in-the-blank. Copy whichever ones fit your life right now. You don’t need to use all five. Pick the one that feels most useful today and try it.

Prompt 1 — When Life Feels Overwhelming
“I’m feeling overwhelmed right now. Here’s everything on my plate: [list everything — tasks, worries, unfinished things, family stuff, anything]. Help me sort out what actually needs my attention today, what can wait until later this week, and what I might be able to let go of entirely. Keep it simple and calm.”
Use this: Monday mornings, before a busy week, anytime you feel scattered
Prompt 2 — Preparing for a Doctor’s Appointment
“I have a [type of appointment] appointment on [date]. Here’s what’s been going on: [describe your situation]. Here’s what I’m confused or worried about: [list your concerns]. Please help me write a short, organized list of questions to bring — clear enough to read quickly while I’m there.”
Use this: doctor, dentist, specialist, financial advisor, lawyer — any appointment where you want to show up prepared
Prompt 3 — Understanding Something Confusing in the News
“I just read: [paste headline or describe the story]. Please explain what this actually means in plain, simple language — no jargon, no political spin. Tell me: what is this about, why does it matter, and does it affect everyday people like me? I’m [brief description of yourself — age, location, situation].”
Use this: Medicare changes, financial news, health stories, policy changes, anything that makes you feel anxious or confused
Prompt 4 — Planning a Family Visit or Gathering
“I have [who’s coming] visiting for [how long]. Here’s what I know about food preferences or restrictions: [list]. I want the visit to feel [relaxed / fun / low-key / celebratory]. Give me a loose day-by-day plan with meal ideas and activity suggestions that won’t wear me out as the host.”
Use this: holidays, grandchildren visiting, family reunions, any time you’re hosting
Prompt 5 — Making a Decision You’re Going Around in Circles On
“I need to decide [what] and I keep going around in circles. Here are my options: [list them]. Here’s what matters most to me: [your values or priorities]. Here’s what I’m worried about: [your concerns]. Don’t just pick one for me — help me see what I might be missing or what I’m avoiding.”
Use this: any recurring decision — travel, purchases, family choices, health decisions, life changes
