Seven weeks in — what making things reminded me (Saturday) 🐾
The reader creative corner that moved me most. What this week reminded me about why AI matters. And what's coming next week — something I've been building toward.
Saturday morning. Seven weeks. Coffee is hot and I have a lot to say.
This week was the one I looked forward to most — and in some ways the one that surprised me most. Not because the content was unexpected, but because of what the reader responses revealed.

What worked
✅ The reply that moved me mostRuth’s vegetable garden. “The garden feels mine in a new way now.” I’ve been thinking about that sentence all week. Because it captures something I’ve been trying to articulate for seven weeks: AI doesn’t take things away from you. When used well, it gives you access to parts of yourself you’d stopped listening to. Ruth had a garden she’d shared with her husband for thirty-five years. She used AI to find the garden she’d always wanted for herself. That is not a small thing.
✅ What surprised me about this week’s themeI expected creativity to feel like the lightest week of the series — a relief after health and small business. And it was lighter in tone. But the emotional depth of the responses was equal to any week we’ve had. People have strong feelings about their creative lives. About the things they’ve put down and haven’t picked back up. About who they were when they used to make things. AI as a creative partner touches something real.

What I’d do differently
💭 One honest changeI’d add a sixth prompt to Tuesday’s cheat sheet: the Reconnection Prompt — for people who used to be creative and stopped entirely, not just those who are stuck mid-project. There’s a different kind of creative distance — the kind that’s been years rather than months. I’ll add that in a future week. If that’s where you are, hit reply and tell me — I want to address it specifically.

What’s coming next week
🔭 Week 8 · June 29 – July 5
We’re doing something I’ve been building toward since Week 1. Week 8 is about AI and your relationships — how to stay connected, how to communicate across generations, and how to use AI to maintain the ties that matter most.
Not business communication. Not patient advocacy. The personal stuff — staying in touch with people you love who live far away, bridging the gap between yourself and grandchildren who feel like they’re from a different planet, writing the letters and messages that keep people close over time.
Sunday: How I use AI to stay connected with the people I love who live far away
Tuesday: The Generational Bridge Method — using AI to communicate across a generation gap
Thursday: Building your Personal Connection AI Practice
Share this with anyone who has a relationship they’ve been meaning to tend to. Next week is built for exactly that.
Seven weeks of this. Thank you for making things alongside me — even if only in conversation. Now go make something today. Even something small. Especially something small. 🐾
