👉 Tuesday Mini Lesson: The Second-Chapter Business Method: 3 AI Steps From Idea to First Customer

The gap between having a business idea and actually starting isn’t usually about the idea. It’s about not knowing what to do first, second, and third. Today’s method answers that question in three steps.

📌 Step 1 — Validate Before You Invest

“I have a business idea I want to run through an honest validation process. Here is the idea: [describe your business idea]. Please: (1) Identify the three strongest things about this idea, (2) Identify the three biggest risks or weaknesses — be honest, not encouraging, (3) Tell me who the most likely customer is and whether there are enough of them, (4) Tell me what I would need to validate in the real world before committing further, (5) Ask me any questions you need to give me a more accurate assessment.”

Before you spend a dollar or tell too many people

📌 Step 2 — Find Your First Customer

“I need to find my first paying customer for [describe your business]. My validated idea is: [paste or summarize from Step 1]. Please: (1) Describe the single most likely person who would pay for this today — be specific, not a demographic, (2) Tell me where I’m most likely to find that person — online and offline, (3) Give me the opening message I could send to three specific people I already know who might be that customer or know someone who is, (4) Tell me what to offer them — price, format, what exactly they’d get — for a first engagement that’s low risk for both of us.”

One specific person, not a target market — find the one and serve them exceptionally

📌 Step 3 — Build the Simplest Version That Works

“I want to build the simplest possible version of my business that could get me to a first paying customer. My business is: [describe what you offer and who it’s for]. My realistic situation is: [describe your time, budget, skills, and what you already have]. Please: (1) Strip away everything that isn’t essential to delivering value to my first customer right now, (2) Tell me exactly what I need before I can take my first customer — and what I definitely do not need yet, (3) Give me a checklist of the five things to do before I can say I’m open for business, (4) Tell me what my first customer needs to experience to want to come back or refer someone.”

Not perfect — real. Starting now. The simplest version that can actually start is always better than the perfect version that never does.
