Maybe you’ve noticed it too. A little sparkle or star button that wasn’t there before. A message that says “ask AI” or “help me write.”
That’s not a glitch, and it’s not a virus. The big tech companies have been adding AI assistants right into the apps millions of us already use.

Where to look
Google: Gemini, in Google apps and on many Android phones.
Microsoft: Copilot, in Windows and the Edge web browser.
Meta: Meta AI, inside WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger and Instagram.
Apple: Apple Intelligence, working alongside Siri on newer iPhones.
These change often. Not sure what’s on your device? Ask the AI you already use:
“Is there an AI assistant built into [the app or device, for example: my Android phone, Gmail, Microsoft Edge, WhatsApp]? Explain in plain language how to open it and how to turn it off if I don’t want it. If you’re not sure, or this may have changed, tell me.”
🐾 · · · 🐾
What they’re good for
Quick jobs, right where you already are. Summarizing a long email. Suggesting a reply. Answering a quick question. Try:
“Summarize this in three short bullet points, and tell me if I need to do anything, and by when. [paste an email or message, with names and personal details removed]”

The one rule: know who’s listening
When you type into a built in AI, your words go to the company that made it. And if you ask Meta AI something in a group chat, other people in that chat may see the question and the answer.
So keep the golden rule: no account numbers, no passwords, no private health details.

🎯 This week’s challenge: find one built in AI helper you already have and try it on one small job.
⬇️ ALL PROMPTS FROM THIS SUNDAY’S VIDEO ⬇️
📌 Find the AI You Already Have
“Is there an AI assistant built into [the app or device, for example: my Android phone, Gmail, Microsoft Edge, WhatsApp]? Explain in plain language how to open it and how to turn it off if I don't want it. If you're not sure, or this may have changed, tell me.”
📌 Quick Summary
“Summarize this in three short bullet points, and tell me if I need to do anything, and by when. [paste an email or message, with names and personal details removed]”
📌 The Same Prompt Test
“I'm comparing AI tools. Please [describe the job, for example: write a short thank you note to my neighbor for bringing dinner]. Keep it under 150 words and use plain, friendly language.”
Tuesday: the three kinds of AI tools.
