Your complete Personal Creative AI Practice — all 5 principles (save this) 🐾
AI is the apprentice, not the artist. Give it your voice first. Keep the parts you love. Set your boundary. Use the Creative Session Ritual. Everything from this week in one place.
Seven weeks of content and this Thursday post is one I’m especially pleased with — because it solves a real problem that no one else in the AI space seems to be talking about: how to use AI for creative work without slowly losing yourself in it.
Save this. Return to it before every creative project.

🐾 Your Personal Creative AI Practice — All 5 Principles
🎨 AI Is the Apprentice, Not the Artist
You hold creative authority always — AI supports, carries, enables. Never the reverse.
✍️ Give AI Your Voice Before Asking for Help
Share 3–4 sentences you love + what makes your voice distinctive. Do this before every writing session.
💛 AI Does the Hard Parts — You Keep the Parts You Love
Research, structure, stuck moments → AI. The actual creating → you. Know which is which before you start.
🎯 Set Your Creative Boundary Before Every Session
“AI will help me with X but not Y.” Say it out loud to AI. Ask it to remind you if you cross it.
🌙 The Creative Session Ritual
OPEN → conversation phase. SEPARATE → close AI, take a breath. MAKE → create without AI open. CLOSE → return only for feedback.

The key prompts from this week
📌 Voice Priming (Principle 2)
“Before you help me with my creative writing, I want to give you my voice. Here are sentences I’ve written that I feel good about: [paste 3–4]. Here’s what makes my voice distinctive: [describe]. Tell me what you notice. Keep this in mind for everything we do today.”
📌 Creative Boundary Setting (Principle 4)
“Before we start: AI will help me with [list what’s okay]. AI will NOT do for me: [list what stays yours]. Please acknowledge these and remind me if I ask you to cross them.”
📌 Creative Session Ritual Opening (Principle 5)
“I’m starting a creative session. I want to use the Creative Conversation Method. First: here’s my project context [describe]. Second: here are my creative boundaries [list]. Third: ask me the Creative Visioning questions one at a time. When we’ve finished the conversation phase, I’ll tell you I’m going to make now — and I’ll return only if I need feedback or get stuck.”
