Your Personal Travel Planning AI System
📌 Component 1 — Destination Discovery System
“I want to find a destination that’s a genuine match for how we travel rather than just a popular place. Here is our traveler profile: [describe your travel style, pace, interests, physical considerations, budget range, time of year, how long you want to travel, and where you’re flying from]. Please suggest three destinations — including at least one I probably haven’t considered — and for each one tell me: why it’s a strong match for our specific profile, the best time of year to go, one thing that makes it particularly right for travelers like us, and one honest caveat about whether it might not be perfect. Be specific rather than promotional.”
Use for: when you know you want to travel but aren’t sure where — traveler profile first, destinations second
📌 Component 2 — Personal Itinerary Builder
“I’m building a personal itinerary for [destination] for [number] days. Here is my trip profile: [paste your profile from Component 1 or Tuesday’s template]. My practical details: arriving [date/time] at [arrival point], staying at [accommodation location or neighborhood], departing [date/time], traveling [alone / with partner / with group — describe who]. Please build a day-by-day itinerary that: groups nearby activities together so I’m not backtracking unnecessarily, builds in [specific rest preferences — afternoon breaks / slow mornings / one completely free day], accounts for realistic travel time between locations, matches my energy and pace rather than maximizing activities, and flags everything that needs advance booking with how far in advance. Show me the itinerary and then ask if I want to adjust anything.”
Use for: building the itinerary — always paste your trip profile first so it’s built around you, not an average traveler
📌 Component 3 — Practical Travel Intelligence Layer
“I’m traveling to [destination] in [timeframe] and I want the practical local knowledge that makes a trip smooth — the information you usually only get from someone who’s been there recently. Please tell me: (1) Which neighborhoods are genuinely walkable and which only look it on a map, (2) What locals eat that tourists miss. Specific dishes or places if you can, (3) The tourist experiences that are genuinely worth it and the ones that are overhyped for our travel style, (4) What we should know about local customs, etiquette, or unwritten rules that visitors often get wrong, (5) What things actually cost, such as meals, transport, activities, so we can budget accurately rather than relying on guidebook estimates, (6) The one thing most visitors wish they’d known before they arrived.”
Use for: local knowledge — the information that used to require knowing the right people
📌 Component 4 — Solo and Couples Travel Adapter
“I’m planning a trip to [destination] and I want to make sure the planning is tailored to my specific travel configuration. I am traveling [alone / with my partner / describe your situation]. Please adapt the planning for my configuration by: (1) Identifying what changes about accommodation choice, itinerary structure, and daily logistics for someone traveling like me, (2) For solo travelers: the specific safety, comfort, and logistics considerations, particularly for women traveling alone, that I should factor into planning this destination, (3) For couples: how to build an itinerary that genuinely accommodates two people with potentially different interests and energy levels — including how to build in individual time without it feeling like a compromise, (4) The one planning decision that makes the biggest difference for travelers in my configuration at this specific destination.”
Use for: tailoring the plan to who you’re actually traveling with — solo or couples
📌 Component 5 — On-Trip AI Companion
“I’m currently in [specific location or neighborhood] in [destination] and I need help in the moment. [Choose your situation]: (A) I have [amount of time] and want to find something to do that matches [my interests / our pace / the weather] right now — what’s nearby that I’d actually enjoy? (B) My plan just changed because [reason] — I need an alternative that fits [my criteria] in this area, (C) I discovered [something unexpected] and want to make the most of it — what should I know and what should I do next? (D) Something went wrong — [describe the situation] — what’s my best first move? Be specific to where I actually am right now, not generic advice.”
Use for: real-time guidance while you’re actually on the trip — this one changes the trip itself, not just the planning
